Misty Cluett is a Christian, wife, mother, small business owner, and proud member of the Kauaʻi community. Her faith is the foundation of her life and guides her commitment to serving others with integrity, humility, and compassion.

Although she did not grow up on Kauaʻi full-time, the island has always been home to her. Through her hānai family connection and her father's deep roots on Kauaʻi spanning generations, Misty spent many summers here growing up, building lasting memories and a strong connection to the people, culture, and values that make the island special.

In 2018, Misty returned home to care for her aging father. What began as a season of service became a permanent commitment to the community she loves. Today, she and her husband are raising their family on Kauaʻi while operating a small business and investing in the future of the island.

Before becoming a business owner, Misty spent nearly a decade in engineering and program management roles at a Fortune 500 company. She led complex projects, managed budgets, solved operational challenges, and worked with diverse teams to deliver results. These experiences strengthened her skills in leadership, accountability, fiscal responsibility, and problem-solving—qualities she believes are essential for effective public service.

As a mother, entrepreneur, and community member, Misty has experienced many of the challenges local families face. She has seen the rising cost of living, housing shortages, growing bureaucracy, and barriers that make it harder for working families and small businesses to thrive.

These experiences are what inspired her to run for office.

Misty believes government should work for the people, not stand in their way. She supports expanding attainable housing, improving infrastructure, protecting parental rights and medical freedom, creating stronger pathways into skilled trades and entrepreneurship, and ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

She is running to bring a fresh perspectives and a commitment to putting local families first.

If we want change, we must be willing to elect change. Together, we can build a stronger future for Kauaʻi.
